How coverage works
Counselling is already part of your ICBC claim
Since 2021, every crash in BC is covered under Enhanced Care, a no-fault system that includes mental-health treatment. Here's what that means in plain language.

What's covered
12
Pre-approved sessions
Counselling sessions within the first 12 weeks after your accident, no approval needed. Extensions are routine when treatment is ongoing.
$0
Billed to you
We invoice ICBC directly at the approved rate. No receipts, no reimbursement, no user fees.
0
Referrals required
You don't need a doctor's note or an adjuster's sign-off to begin. You only need a claim number.
Timeline
What happens, and when
Most people are in a first session within a week of contacting us.
Day 0
You send the form
Or email. We ask for your claim number and the crash date. Nothing clinical yet.
Day 1-2
We confirm with ICBC
We verify the claim, set up direct billing and check whether you're inside the 12-week pre-approval window.
Day 2-5
First session
A 60-minute assessment by video or in person. You leave with a plan and a next appointment.
Week 12+
Extension if needed
If treatment is still helping, we submit a short report to your adjuster. Approvals are routine.
Crash was more than 12 weeks ago?
You're still covered. We submit a short treatment plan to your adjuster; approvals typically come back within days.
